Transforming Ghanaian finances from spending to saving since 2015
At Gotyritedo, our mission is clear: to empower Ghanaians with the financial knowledge and practical tools they need to transform their relationship with money. We believe that financial freedom isn't just for the wealthy—it's an attainable goal for every Ghanaian who is equipped with the right education and strategies.
Founded in 2015 by Akosua Mensah after witnessing firsthand the devastating effects of financial illiteracy in her community, Gotyritedo has grown from a small workshop series to Ghana's premier provider of culturally relevant financial education products. Our name, which combines elements of traditional Akan language, embodies our philosophy of moving from spending-focused behaviors to savings-centered financial habits.
Unlike generic financial advice that fails to address the unique economic challenges faced by Ghanaians, our products are deeply rooted in local realities. We understand the cultural expectations around family financial support, the challenges of saving in an inflation-prone economy, and the importance of building wealth that honors both traditional values and modern opportunities.
Every Gotyritedo product is created by Ghanaian financial experts who live and work in the same economic environment as our customers. We test our strategies in real-world Ghanaian contexts before incorporating them into our educational materials, ensuring that what we teach actually works in local conditions.
